Adding images to your articles is extremely easy when you follow these steps:
1. Download Google`s free Picasa image management program. Picasa will locate and catalog every image on your PC. You can download Picasa by clicking the `Organize Your Photos...` link in the left column of this page.
2. Use Picasa to optimize and resize your image. We suggest that your image be no more than 400 pixels wide.
3. Via Picasa, you can create a free online web album. Using Picasa, upload your image to the web album. View your image online in the web album to see the unique URL assigned to it.
4. Create your article in the forum. When you want to insert your image, hover your cursor over the `Img` button at the top of the editor. Just above the editor window, you will see the syntax for the code that you should include in your article to make the image appear. Clicking the `Img` button inserts the image tags into your article at the cursor's location.
To publish and link to non-image files:
1. Create a free Gmail account (web-based email) at www.gmail.com
2. Email the file to your Gmail account
3. View the email and attached file in Gmail. You will see links to `View` or `Download` the attachment. Right-click the `View` link and select `Copy shortcut.`
4. Link to the attachment in the forum via the `URL` tag. Click the `URL` button in the editor for the correct syntax and to insert the tags into your article. |
